Terms of service.
Last revised 01 May 2026.
These terms govern your access to and use of the StoreDocs client onboarding platform. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. The platform
StoreDocs provides a client onboarding service: branded client portals, structured information gathering, intake forms, file requests, process automation and completion tracking. The platform is operated by StoreDocs Inc., a company organized under the laws of the State of Texas with its principal office at 98 San Jacinto Boulevard, Suite 400, Austin, TX 78701, United States.
2. Your account
You are responsible for safeguarding the credentials of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. StoreDocs is not liable for losses arising from the disclosure of your credentials to third parties. Notify us promptly at support@storedocs.net if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the platform for any unlawful purpose, nor to upload files containing malware, illicit content or material that infringes third-party rights. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you and your clients submit through your onboarding flows.
4. Client data and content
You retain ownership of the information, files and records you and your clients submit. You grant StoreDocs a limited license to host, process and transmit that content solely to provide the service. You are responsible for obtaining any consents required to collect information from your clients through the platform.
5. Term and termination
Either party may terminate the agreement upon thirty (30) days written notice. Onboarding records and audit logs are retained for a period of seven (7) to ten (10) years after termination, in accordance with our retention schedule, after which they undergo defensible, logged disposition.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StoreDocs aggregate liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. StoreDocs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages.
7. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to the dispute resolution section below, any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms shall be brought exclusively in the state courts located in Travis County, Texas, or in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, Austin Division, and the parties consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
7.1 Consumer protection
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any right guaranteed by the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act (DTPA), Tex. Bus. & Com. Code § 17.41 et seq., or any equivalent federal statute. Texas residents may contact the Office of the Texas Attorney General, Consumer Protection Division, with concerns regarding these terms.
7.2 Dispute resolution
Any dispute that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation within sixty (60) days may, at either party election, be submitted to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, with the seat of arbitration in Travis County, Austin, Texas. The parties each waive any right to participate in a class action or class arbitration.
8. Email communications
StoreDocs is an email-based platform. By creating an account, you consent to receive transactional emails from StoreDocs at the address you provide. By ticking the marketing consent box during signup, you additionally consent to receive recurring product and onboarding emails from StoreDocs at that address.
Purpose of emails
Emails may include: account verification links, password-reset links, onboarding status alerts (invited, started, information submitted, step completed, onboarding complete), client reminders, security notifications, service announcements and, only with your explicit consent, occasional product and educational emails.
Email frequency
Frequency varies with account activity. You may receive several transactional emails per onboarding you run; a typical active account receives between 4 and 12 transactional emails per month. Marketing emails, if opted in, are limited to no more than 2 per month.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply. StoreDocs does not charge for emails. Any data or storage charges from your email provider apply at their standard rates. Frequency and pricing of provider services are not controlled by StoreDocs.
Unsubscribe and HELP
You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the Unsubscribe link in the footer of any email, or by emailing support@storedocs.net. Your address will be removed from the marketing register within 24 hours. For HELP, email support@storedocs.net or call 1-512-862-0148. Transactional emails (verification, security, onboarding alerts) cannot be turned off while your account is active.
Eligibility
Marketing consent is not a condition of opening an account or running an onboarding. Recipients must be 18 years or older.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or through the platform. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
